In practice, all professional groups can use Laskuttamo services. However, there are certain types of work that require a permit and cannot be invoiced through us. Please also note that our service is not for you if, for example, you are considering retailing goods online or running a business that requires large investments. When you invoice through the invoicing centre, you are a so-called light entrepreneur and therefore, according to the Pension Security Centre, you are covered by the self-employed person’s pension insurance (YEL insurance).

You must take out an entrepreneur’s pension insurance (YEL) if your estimated income from your business is at least EUR 9 010.28 per year (2024) and you live in Finland.

Light self-employment refers to work where the worker is not employed by the company but invoices the company through an invoicing service. When pricing your work, please take into account VAT and other business-related costs, as well as the 3-4% service fee charged by Laskuttamo. For more information, see our service calculator.

You are free to charge customers any amount you want. However, please note that the minimum charge for Laskuttamo is 16€ when you withdraw your commission.

Laskuttamo pays your commission once your customer has paid the invoice.

If the invoice is not paid on time, the Laskuttamo will arrange for payment to be made to the client. If necessary, we will transfer the invoice to a collection agency.
